I'm feeling a little ambitious tonight, I really should be doing something like homework or maybe even housework, but as usual music has my heart.

The next song is a song I heard shortly after Kiss Me in the Dark. It's by Reckless Kelly and it's Stick Around. That silly boy I told you about earlier also introduced me to this song. Actually, it was one of those hey I have a song that reminds me of you moments that I'm sure every couple finds. Where the lyrics just hit you like a ton of bricks and all you can think about is that one person. Well, I'm assuming this is one of those songs for that silly boy. It's not the first song of Reckless Kelly's to do that to him though.

This is one of those songs that we will always have many memories with such as him singing it to me under the stars in the freezing cold, texting me part of the lyrics, or even us singing this at the top of our drunken lungs at one of their concerts. He hasn't let me go yet, and I've stuck around. So, don't be surprised if this is played at our wedding, we have a few other favorites but this song has been with us since those wild country road nights of getting to know each other and cheap beer.

As for the lyrics every time I read them, I realize how perfect they really do fit for us. He had just got his heart broke a month prior to our first date, I guess if you want to call it a date. Really it was fate that brought us together. We worked together at a Sonic Drive-in and me being as shy and reserved as I am especially around someone I thought was way out of my league and him being in a committed relationship there really was no chance for us. Until one night we stayed up late drinking with a mutual friend held hands in the back of his car and never talked to each other again, he had harvest and I quit after the summer was up. Strangely enough a mutual friend called him up about a month after his break up he sounded miserable. So she told him I thought he was adorable gave him my number and from there we hit it off, keep in mind this was about 4 months after the holding hands incident. Three years later we still love this song.
