Mr. Soldier

This next song I picked for my hopefully someday brother-in-law. He's a marine and we're all very proud of him, but when he's not there for family gatherings it's not quite the same without his jokes and his crazy laugh. Brandon Rhyder has probably became one of my favorite song writers of today. His lyrics touch many hearts, in this song Mr. Soldier.

Our soldier has one of the biggest hearts I know he took one of my friends to a high school dance, never met her before but did it for his brother. Those two can really cut a rug together though so I'm sure that was tempting to him. When he was there, there was this girl that had a huge heart but was the butt of a lot of jokes and he asked her to dance. I don't know how many times she told me that made her night, but he touched her heart and I'm sure plenty of other's out there. I'm very proud to say that I know him and to know that he is being unselfish and putting his life on the line for us.

Brandon really is a talented writer if you've heard any of his songs you probably agree. He might not be as vocally talented as some other musicians out there today that get by on vocals and looks alone. Brandon pours his heart into it all and that's what makes him so brilliant. In this song he really shows us what he's capable of.
